Therapeutic Approach
The approach I take in therapy is first and foremost a client-centered and strengths-based approach. Therapy is not ‘one size fits all’ so we will work towards your specific goals at your pace. I believe every client and relationship has innate strengths and abilities that will help them achieve their goals- I work to help you maximize those strengths and abilities.
I also practice systemic Narrative Therapy. We are all shaped by our relationships, family of origin, societal and cultural norms, and a multitude of other systems. We work to understand and recognize the impact of these systems on your current functioning and relationships so that we can challenge what needs to be challenged, strengthen what needs to be strengthened, and work to live an authentic and examined life.
