Individual Therapy | SEX & Relationship Therapy
Hi, I’m Jane Downey, LPC, a therapist with Integrated Hearts Therapy Center! I offer client-led, collaborative therapy, specializing in intimacy, identity, anxiety, trauma, and more.
My approach to individual and relationship therapy is eclectic, combining narrative, solution focused, and emotionally focused therapy to meet your unique needs.
Therapy is only as successful as the goals we set, and we will create – and work toward – those goals together.
I am LGBTQIA+ and ethnical non-monogamy (ENM) allied and affirming, and I enjoy helping individuals and partners explore their sexuality, identities, and the impact of larger social systems on our lives.
Gender and sexuality are fluid constructs that evolve with us as we grow and change, even if you have always felt secure in the same identities.
Exploration, curiosities, and bumps in the road are expected, normal, and welcomed in our work together.
Everyone deserves access to skills that will build a safe, fulfilling, and trusting relationship – both with yourself and with loved ones.
I am all too aware of how easy it is to lose sight of yourself in the midst of insurmountable hurt. I will never pass judgement on you for being lost. But I am here to tell you that you are more powerful than you know in this moment, and we can work together to cultivate your strength and self-assuredness.
I welcome and celebrate your truest self in our sessions, and I’ll be my true self, too!
I’m an empathetic person, but I’m also funny, curious, and motivated.
My favorite animal is the Whale Shark, and I’m incredibly scared of seagulls.
I’m also 100% your girl for any kind of fantasy romance novel recommendations.
